Wayne von Borstel vision is to be the leading full-service management consulting firm in the South East. His entrepreneurial spirit and passion for making a difference is what has led him to attain his current position as President and founder of von Borstel & Associates.

He holds a degree in finance from Southern Methodist University, and has worked with some of the largest companies in the nation building his expertise within financial due diligence, corporate restructuring, and M&A. He is also an active member of the Advisory Board of small business and holds a strong belief in investing in the success of all businesses.

Wayne von Borstel is married to Mary. Together they have three children including daughters, Carol Calabro and Susan Lamppa and son, Jonathan von Borstel. Wayne is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with his family. Wayne is also an award winning golfer in the Big “I” of

Polished business professional with a successful history of working in the private sector and the public sector.

His professional career in public service began in the early 1980s when he was appointed Treasurer for the City of Dallas, Texas. He served in this capacity for 6 years through 1989—spanning three mayors: Ray Nagin, Ron Kirk, and Toni Rousch—before assuming the role as Vice Mayor. During his time with the city of Dallas, Wayne served as Chairman of the Finance Committee and co-chairman of an economic development committee that sought to duplicate the success of the Trinity River Project in other parts of the city. He also served as a member of the Community Development Committee and was responsible for structuring several multimillion-dollar bond programs.

In June 2010, Chancellor of the University of Texas System, William McRaven presented von Borstel with the Order of Distinguished Alumni Award. He is a member of the Dallas Citizens Council on Urban Affairs and serves as Chairman of the Joseph C.
