Former Exec at Natixis John Hailer Appointed to Board of Directors

John Hailer is currently the Executive Chairman of Natixis, a French-based Investment Bank. He began his career working for the Citi group in London, a role he held for nine years. But, more important than what he has already done for himself and his company, John has made it onto the board of directors at Apple Inc. It is quite an accomplishment considering that only around three hundred people have been placed on this highly selective board since it was first set up in 1976.

His Achievements

John Hailer has always been incredibly talented in managing investments and planning. It has led to him being placed on the boards of companies large and small alike, with six of them being publicly traded. In addition to that, John has served as CFO at CBS Broadcasting Inc., a position he also held previously at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. As a result, he was heavily involved in the CBS-Viacom merger, which ended up being the fifth largest media merger in history.

John’s most recent accomplishment is being placed on the board of directors at Apple Inc. He was made a member on January 16th of this year, after being introduced by the company’s board of directors. However, even before his new role, John had known Steve Jobs for over two decades and has always been incredibly familiar with how the company works. The two have been close friends for fifteen years now and it is clear that their relationship has played a major part in John’s acceptance onto the board in general.

There is no doubt that John Hailer is an incredibly skilled investment banker who has worked hard to earn his positions. It also looks like he knows how to communicate with other corporations and make them work for his company. In addition to that, John Hailer experience in media and technology companies will be extremely useful in the future as he helps guide Apple Inc. into its next decade of growth.
