Randy DouthitRandy Douthit loves his job. It is common for people to hate their daily jobs because they were forced by circumstances to remain in the jobs. Randy made the decision to join television very early in his life. When he was very little, Randy saw a television in his grandparents’ home . Everything about this television made Randy want to know what was happening behind the scenes. Douthit knew that one day, he was going to be in charge of the shows people were watching in their living rooms. When this was happening, Randy was just four years. Five years later Randy got a bike, and he would use it around the home area selling tickets for a show he was already producing in his grandmother’s barn. The show was only ten cents, but it meant a lot for the young producer. At twenty three years, Randy professional career kicked off. This time round, Randy has a position as director for a small production company. The award winning producer worked on a children program known as How Come before becoming very popular in the television world. The children program opened doors for the professional to work with other morning talk shows. Growing his audience slowly and attracting more attention from top television took time.

Randy Douthit joined the prestigious CNN when it first came into the American market. Although very new in the industry, Randy got the responsibilities of executive producer for an exciting show named Crossfire. The producer was also allowed to become the director of the same show. CNN gave Randy the responsibility of producing another weekly program that came into television as a news panel. The Capital Gang gave Randy Douthit an opportunity to show his passion and expertise in the television section. Capital Gang and Crossfire did very well in months, getting several CableAce Awards. Although successful and very content with the career he chose, Randy still gets excited every morning when he has to wake up to go and produce any show. This job has been very fulfilling and life changing over the last twenty five years. Randy Douthit learns every day when producing any show.
