Kelcy Warren is a remarkable entrepreneur who has experienced both triumph and difficulty throughout his life. Born in 1955 in Gladewater, Texas, he was the youngest of four brothers. Kelcy Warren pursued various odd jobs to make ends meet, such as hauling hay, operating a gas station, fixing oilfield leaks, and maintaining telephone lines for meter readings. Kelcy’s dedication and hard work paid off, and he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).
Kelcy Warren was initially unsuccessful in college, but his father gave him a second chance to attend a junior college at night while working with him. After graduating, he was employed as a pipeline design engineer for Lone Star Gas Company and eventually, he joined Endevco, a small energy development company. With a partner, he eventually purchased Endevco, renaming it Cornerstone Natural Gas.
Warren achieved true greatness when he co-founded Energy Transfer, a significant and multifaceted collection of publicly owned energy partnerships. Even with his success, Warren remains humble and continues pursuing success without looking back.
