Kelcy Warren, an American businessman, has been in the business world for over 30 years. He founded Energy Transfer Partners and was ranked No. 52 on Forbes’ list of wealthiest Americans, with a net worth of $5 billion as of September 2017.

In response to the Trump administration’s executive order to fast-track TransCanada’s Keystone XL pipeline project, Kelcy Warren criticized the Trump administration by stating that the delay made sense and it was not too late to return on that decision [2]. Furthermore, he said he’d like to see a more robust demand for natural gas. As the president of Energy Transfer Partners, he has been involved in some of the most significant projects, such as the Bakken and Dakota Access pipeline, the Sabal Trail pipeline, and the Flanagan South Texas Express Pipeline.

Kelcy Warren is also the owner of the Buffalo Bills. Warren announced to sell off his 20% stake in Energy Transfer Partners and his 50% stake in Plains All-American Pipeline back to Phillips 66.

As of January 2018, Warren sold his 50% stake in the company’s midstream assets to Phillips 66. His sales were estimated to be around $15 billion. As a result, Warren will remain solely the company’s largest shareholder.

Kelcy Lee Warren Jr. was born on May 1st, 1954, in Oklahoma to Kelcy Lee Warren Sr. In 1977; he graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in geology.

After graduation, he became the company president of K.L. Warren Oil Company and co-founder of Energy Transfer Partners with Dan Duncan, the founder of Enterprise Products Partners L P.. He has been involved in several business activities like oil and gas, real estate, and industries.

Kelcy Warren was involved in several projects such as the construction of the South Texas Pipeline that runs from Texas to Mexico, the Bakken pipeline that runs from North Dakota to Washington State, Dakota Access pipeline similar to the Keystone XL project, Sabal Trail Pipeline LLC., Flanagan South Texas Express Pipeline LP so on.
