Greg Blatt is an American businessman who is the CEO and President of Tinder. He founded Match.com, which operates with a similar business model as Tinder’s. Blatt grew up in New York City. His father was an office worker who constantly moved from city to city due to promotions from his company, which resulted in Blatt changing schools a lot throughout his early years. Blatt’s mother is a homemaker. He went to the Horace Mann School and graduated from Yale University in 1985 with a degree in economics and political science.

Greg Blatt started working for Morgan Stanley after college, but after two years, he decided to leave the job market and pursue his dream of building an internet dating site. He founded Match.com in 1995, the same year Friendster was born. The first version of Match was called scofflaw, and it focused on international dates only, accounting for almost 50% of the site’s traffic.

Greg Blatt made a huge impact and helped to help the company grow by “instantly” growing the business. During that year, he and his colleague launched Match.com’s first version in the UK, which later became an instant success, with over 100,000 users signing up for it within days.
