Colcom Foundation addressing the implicit dangers to humanity
Many well-documented catastrophic events impacted the population of humanity, ranging from the bubonic plague to the more recent Coronavirus. The concern for an event that is the byproduct of expansion in the human population is a large part of the Colcom Foundation agenda. Currently, there are issues of the ecosystem collapsing, terrestrial habitat and aquatic destruction, pollution, and biodiversity loss worldwide. All these issues are rarely associated with the expansion of the human population.
The initial inspiration for the Colcom Foundation started with Cordelia S. May. As early as 1952, efforts toward the awareness of the delicate balance of nature and its impact on the quality of life were the focus of family planning. Much like the early reformers of that period, Mrs. May often had issues with people understanding her view. In most cases, it takes decades before historians see the full scope of the concerns, providing a form of vindication.
The Colcom Foundation intends to use various outlets of entertainment and information to reduce the US population by 2040. A population reduction is the byproduct of things like awareness of immigration levels and how it affects the population. Research shows that immigration is the source of 88 percent of the US population. For this reason, it is a vital topic in the conversation about reducing the ecological footprint. Many surrounding points of interest are the motivation for such diversity in efforts and funding interest. The list of funding interests includes Hollow Oak Land Trust, The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy’s, WeConservePA, Westmoreland Land Trust, and others.
Working towards a better future for Humanity is always beneficial since we don’t know how long our life journey will be. Cordelia S. May contributed efforts that extended well beyond her life journey, providing opportunities for others to continue the efforts for a better world. Refer to this article to learn more.
